The governing body is the admissions authority for this school. Offers of places in Year 7 in September 2020 were sent out by first class post on 2nd March 2020 by local authorities on behalf on the school. You had until 16th March 2020 to accept or reject the offer. If you are offered a place at school you selected as a lower preference than St Richard Reynolds Catholic High School, you will be automatically added to our waiting list. You may also ask for your child to be added the our waiting list by email or letter to our admissions officer, Mrs



If you are unsuccesful in securing a place for your child at this school, you have the right to appeal to an independent appeals panel.

If you wish to make an appeal against the governors' decision not to offer your child a place, you must lodge your appeal no later than 20th April 2020 using the appeals form which may be downloaded via the link below. You should also download and read the guidance notes. Both documents are available as hard copies from the College Office. Appeals will be heard on 1st and 2nd June 2020 if permitted by the Government.

Waiting List for Year 7 (September 2020)

If you wish your child to be placed on the Yr 7 2020 waiting list please email with the following details:

3)  Child's Address
4)  Contact number
5)  Confirmation if you have originally applied.

Families had until 16th March 2020 to confirm whether they will be accepting initial offers made to their Local Authority.

LATEST: The local authority reports that the processing of acceptances and refusals of places is taking longer than planned. They expect to complete the work by the beginning of April. Until the LA releases the data to the school, we are not permitted to make any offers. When places become available  they will be allocated and offered according to the published over-subscription criteria.

Note: The College Office staff does not have visibility of the waiting list and are unable to give information regarding positions on the waiting list.

Admissions arrangements for entry to the High School in September 2020

The deadline for submitting applications for entry to SRR High School was 31st October 2019. You will be advised of the outcome of your application on 2nd March 2020 or the next working day, by your local authority on our behalf. If you are unsuccessful (unless your child gained a place at a school you ranked higher) you will be informed of the reasons, related to the oversubscription criteria listed above, and you have the right of appeal to an independent appeal panel. You will automatically be added to the waiting list unless you were offered a place at a school you ranked higher).
