We are delighted for our students and their families with their GCSE successes which go some way to confirm our recent Ofsted Outstanding grading.
Almost 80% of our Year 11 students gained five or more good GCSEs including English and Mathematics, with nearly 35% at the highest grades.
Individual stand out results included:
- Marcus Garcia-Bravo with 11 grade 9s and an A*,
- Hermes Htun with 10 grade 9s and an A*,
- Hugo Bernie achieved 9 grade 9s and an A*,
- Nikolas Willems got 8 grade 9s and an A*,
- and Adam Power, Emma Costa-Welch and Katy Shirtcliffe who gained 7 grade 9s.
There were also a number of real success stories involving students who had to overcome some significant challenges in order to get the grades they did.
We were also again very pleased with our Primary School’s outcomes with almost one third of Year 2 pupils achieving greater depth in each of Reading, Writing and Mathematics. We now look forward to next year and our first set of end of Key Stage 2 results.
Richard Burke, Principal, said “Our students’ and pupils’ success is always a result of many factors, not least the dedication and hard work of all of our staff. We also appreciate the support of parents; highlighting the invaluable partnership that helps to generate such positive outcomes for our young people.”
